The rabbit is fourth in the twelve-year cycle of animals that appear in the Chinese zodiac.
Ancient Chinese believed there was a rabbit living on the moon because they could see its outline on the shiny full moon of Mid-Autumn Day (the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar). Being closely related to the Goddess of the Moon, the Rabbit is one of the most favored zodiac signs in Chinese astrology.
2023 is the year of a water rabbit which is defined as gentle, quiet, alert as well as quick, patient, and very responsible. In Chinese culture, the rabbit, based on their living habits, symbolizes vigilance, wittiness, cautiousness, deftness, self-protection, and the moon.
While Chinese astrology suggests wearing red underwear and socks to attract good luck, the water rabbit invites us to simply enjoy good fortune, and find pleasure in the little things. Enjoy a peaceful mind throughout the year.
