“Daruma dolls are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck, making them a popular gift of encouragement. The doll has also been commercialized by many Buddhist temples to use alongside the setting of goals.” I love the lore of Daruma dolls and tried unsuccessfully to get a daruma yokai funded. Here’s hoping this melded and cuter version wins votes and can be made.
Take Beadmail No.1 and make a Daruma bunny doll. Same feet and ears as BM1 with the body shaped like a Daruma doll, flower is a cute touch. Sweeter face, rabbit teeth. Daruma doll markings and mouth similarities. Kanji on the belly can be OHMified, could be kanji for Love (love bunny) or whatever seems appropriate.
